Itinerary Brief

  • Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati

    Arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, a renowned Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. Explore the local markets and enjoy a magnificent sunset cruise on the Alfresco Grand over the majestic Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 2: Guwahati to Kaziranga (220 km, 4-5 hours)

    Drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the one-horned rhinoceros. Take an afternoon jeep safari to spot various wildlife, including elephants, tigers, deer, and numerous bird species. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

  • Day 3: Kaziranga

    Take an early morning elephant safari to get closer to the wildlife in the park. Visit the nearby tea gardens to learn about the tea-making process. In the afternoon, enjoy another jeep safari. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

  • Day 4: Kaziranga to Guwahati

    Drive back to Guwahati. Visit the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural museum showcasing the diverse art and culture of Assam. Explore the city, and visit Basistha Temple and Balaji Temple. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 5: Departure

    Depending on your departure time, visit the local markets of Guwahati to pick up some souvenirs. Leave for the airport or railway station and bid farewell to the beautiful state of Assam.
